US Customers
When an order is placed with a US shipping address:
- All USPS orders are sent via the US Postal Service from Niagara Falls, NY.
- All UPS orders are sent via United Postal Service from Niagara Falls, NY.

US Shipping Methods
Please note that all carriers deliver Monday to Friday only. Shipping times begin when the package leaves our warehouse.

Standard Shipping (USPS Parcel Post, USPS Media Mail)
- This is our standard shipping method. It is the most popular and least expensive. In North America, books are sent via "Media Mail".
- Standard Shipping takes 1 to 4 weeks in the United States with the exception of Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico, which can take up to 6 weeks.
- Rates vary depending on destination and weight of order.

Priority Shipping (USPS Priority Mail)
- Priority Shipping takes 3 to 7 business days in the United States.
- Rates vary depending on destination and weight of order.

UPS 2nd Day Air Shipping-48 hour delivery-Monday to Friday (from the date UPS receives your package)
- Orders received Friday through Sunday do not ship from our warehouse until Tuesday morning.
- Available to US postal addresses only. We can ship to Hawaii and Alaska via UPS 2 Day Air. UPS will not ship to PO Boxes. This option is not available for shipping to Puerto Rico.

UPS Ground Shipping
- Available to US postal addresses only. UPS will not ship to PO Boxes. This shipping method is not available for Alaska, Puerto Rico or Hawaii.
- UPS Ground Shipping takes between 1 to 3 weeks depending on location.

Canadian Customers
When an order is placed with a Canadian shipping address:
- All orders are sent via Canada Post, (Parcel Post, Express Post, or Canada Post Priority Courier) from Thorold, Ontario, Canada.
- All orders are in US FUNDS, including shipping and handling charges.
- We are required by law to charge GST.

- This is our standard shipping method. It is also our most popular and least expensive.
- Books can take up to 10 business days to be delivered within Canada, with the exception of Northwest Territories, Nunavut and Yukon Territories which can take up to 6 weeks.
- Rates vary depending on destination and weight of order.

Priority Shipping via Canada Post (Canada Post Xpresspost Service)
- Most orders are delivered within 4 business days.
- Rates vary depending on destination and weight of order.

Express Shipping (Canada Post Priority Courier)
- Most orders are delivered within one to two business days.

In-Store Order Pick-up
- If you are in the Niagara Region, you have an option to pick up the order at our St. Catharines, Ontario location. You will be charged our handling fee ($1.00 per order), but no shipping. All orders must be paid in full prior to pick up. A member of our store staff will telephone you when your order arrives for pick up. Returns will not be accepted at this location.

Overseas/International Customers
Customers outside of Canada and the United States must fill out the customer registration and address fields as follows:
- For the "State/Province" field, please leave it blank.
- Enter the state/province information as part of the "City".
- Select the right country from the "Country" field pull-down menu.
If your country charges a VAT (Value-Added Tax), you may be assessed that tax at your country's Customs Agency. You may be responsible to pay this charge before you receive your delivery.

Mail Standard Shipping
- Typically one to two weeks for shipments into Western Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. Two to six week delivery time for other locations.

Shipping and Handling Costs
- Our handling charge of $1.00 per order covers the cost to pull and pack orders.
- Shipping rates are calculated in advance, based on the size of your order and the country of destination. Our shipping charges include:
- packaging (approximately 40 cents to $2.00 per order)
- shipper's wages to pack and ship each order
- delivery costs to post office/courier service
- actual postage as marked on the outside of each package
- customer service time
- If you have a registered BookCloseouts account, you can view your shipping charges before finalizing a purchase. Simply visit our store, click on checkout, click on proceed to purchase, and view your Final Purchase Summary. Summary includes subtotal, shipping, handling, tax and total.

Drop-Ship Option
Drop-Ship orders are sent without any pricing or BookCloseouts information. It is an excellent option for gift-giving or for resellers sending orders to their customers. To choose the Drop-Ship option:
- Click the Drop-Ship option when you check out.
- Change the "Ship To:" address to the drop ship location.
- Click "Update New Shipping Info".
An invoice will be e-mailed to you with the full purchase price and order details.

Order Tracking
Many customer questions involve the status of orders. When did it ship, how can you track it, and when will it arrive?
Sometimes we can't control the process. Once a shipment is in the hands of the delivery company, we have to rely on their
schedules. We can offer you more visibility into the shipping process through our order status tracking.
What the tracking can do:
- Let you see the progress of your order, if it's shipped and when
- Provide a tracking number (if available) and access to the shipping company's web site
- Allow you to follow the order's progress to your address
- Let you know when it arrived, and who signed for it, if a signature was required.
What the order tracking can't do:
- Allow you to change shipping methods or speed up the process once it's in the carrier's hands.
- Provide tracking for all packages, as some carriers or shipping methods don't include tracking information
- Tell you exactly when the package will arrive, as all companies ship on their own schedule, based on their daily parcel volume.
- Track older orders. Tracking info is often archived by shipping companies to speed up the tracking process.
To track an order:
- Log into your 'Past Orders' screen with your user name and password.
- Each past order is displayed, most recent on top. Click on the 'order status' link on the right of each order.

If your order has shipped, via a carrier which provides tracking, the tracking details will appear here, or you'll
be given a link to the carrier's web site for more information.
Please note that most orders will require 24 hours after they leave the warehouse for a tracking number to be assigned to them.
